From car wash fundraisers to food-bank packing, K-Kids clubs had a busy year contributing time, talent and resources to their schools and communities. Check out just a few of the thousands of cool and effective service projects carried out by K-Kids around the world! Thank you to clubs that submitted their annual achievement report and shared their service stories.

Valentine’s Day Nursing Home Drive: Southside Elementary K-Kids learned about the needs of seniors and organized a donation drive. They gathered a variety of treats and toiletry items and delivered them to Greystone Nursing Home in Cabot, Arkansas, U.S.

Community Cleanup: In the Bahamas, K-Kids clubs at James Cistern, St. Cecilia’s Primary School, and Wemyss Bight Primary School served to keep their communities clean.

Operation Donation: After interviewing their school’s custodian, members of the Hollow Hills K-Kids Club in Simi Valley, California, U.S., learned the school was short on carts used by custodians, school staff and the PTA. Homerooms in the school donated money, and the club purchased a cart for its school.

Diabetes Education: K-Kids taught students at Holy Innocents Anglican School in St. Andrew, Grenada, about diabetes during National Diabetes Awareness Month.

Have a Poppin’ Day: Wethersfield Elementary K-Kids in Kewanee, Illinois, U.S., raised US$1,000 by selling soda pop. The money helped a student’s family that lost their house in a fire.

#TeamSeas Campaign: The K-Kids at McDeeds Creek Elementary in Southern Pines, North Carolina, U.S., held a Penny War and donated the money raised to #TeamSeas. #TeamSeas is a campaign to raise money for Ocean Conservancy and The Ocean Cleanup, organizations working to clean plastic out of the world’s oceans.

Campus Cleanup: K-Kids at Heritage Elementary School in Lima, Ohio, U.S., learned firsthand about the importance of preventing trash by entering the storm water system around their school. They then served in teams to clean up curbside trash.

Give Thanks, Give Socks: Athens City Intermediate School K-Kids donated over 5,500 pairs of socks to Foster Village in Athens, Tennessee, U.S., including nearly 3,000 pairs donated by a business partner, Crescent Hosiery Mill.

Have a Heart Sucker Sale: K-Kids at Jackson Elementary School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, U.S., held their annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Members sold gourmet suckers in cool flavors such as cherry cheesecake, bubble gum, cotton candy, orange creamsicle and strawberry banana.
