2023-24 K-Kids Awards and Contest Information

Add fun, celebrate your club’s accomplishments, and give members opportunities to use their skills by applying for individual and club contests this year. Recognition makes members proud and shows others how successful the club has been throughout the year. It’s an opportunity to share great news about club accomplishments—particularly with the school or organization, and the sponsoring Kiwanis clubs.

Participate in one or all of the following club, member and advisor awards and contests by the April 1, 2024 deadline. To be eligible for contests and awards, a K-Kids club must be in good standing, which means it is a club that has paid charter fees or annual renewal fees for the current year.

Award announcements: Faculty and Kiwanis advisors of clubs receiving contest and award recognitions (and district administrators) will be notified by email in mid-May; club advisors will be asked to inform their clubs and individual officers or members about awards they receive. The list of awardees and winning contest submissions will be posted through social media and on this webpage in mid-May.

Receiving awards:

  • Contests: Recognition items for club and individual contest awards will be mailed to your school or organization by mid-May.
  • Distinguished Club and Honor Club: Faculty advisors of clubs earning one of these recognitions will receive an email by mid-May with a link to download a digital badge to display on the school/club website and a digital certificate to print to promote the club’s achievement online or at a club celebration.
  • Distinguished Officer and Distinguished Advisor: Recognition items for these individual awards will be mailed to your school or organization by mid-May.

Distinguished Club and Honor Club Recognition

Award information

  • Each K-Kids club can earn a Distinguished Club or an Honor Club recognition if it completes activities listed in the Annual Achievement Report and submits the form and supporting documentation by the deadline of April 1. The number of points the club earns will depend on the number of listed activities that the club completes. Point totals: 20 points or more = Distinguished Club, 16 – 19 points = Honor Club.
  • We recommend that faculty advisors review the report’s activities with officers and members at the beginning of the year. Then, club officers or members can complete the Annual Achievement Report with the help of the advisor.
  • To be ready to complete the Annual Achievement Report form, gather examples of your club’s great work this year, including: a list and written descriptions of your favorite service projects; photos of service project activities [if you’re providing photos of members, upload Photo Release and Consent Forms for all members pictured in the photos]; copies of completed K-Kids Member Guide activities; an image of your completed advisor Quick Start Guide; images of flyers or posters from projects; and images of planning documents (such as a project budget, list of supplies or project task list).
