This year’s Single Service Project Awardees demonstrated curiosity, creativity and commitment as they supported many different causes and needs in their communities. Get inspired by stories from a few of these clubs.
Adopt-A-Family: Castlio Elementary K-Kids in St. Charles County, Missouri, U.S., raised over $3,500 schoolwide to purchase food and essential need items for the supply closet at St. Joachim and Ann Care Service, which supports the unhoused.
All about Mission Trails: Hancock Elementary K-Kids in San Diego, California, U.S., developed a plan to support Mission Trails Regional Park through education activities, including distributing native seeds for plants found in the park.
Christmas Tag Sale: Colebrook Elementary K-Kids in Colebrook, New Hampshire, U.S., organized a donation drive to gather new and gently used items, which were sold to students at reasonably prices (less than US$5) to give as Christmas presents.
Encouraging Medical Workers: Heir Force Community School K-Kids, in Lima, Ohio, U.S., created cards for workers at a local hospital that was overwhelmed with an increase in patients.
Love Our Campus: St. Andrews International School K-Kids in New Providence, Bahamas, cleaned up and beautified an overgrown area in the front of its school.
Paws for a Cause: K-Kids in Berlin, New Hampshire, U.S., held a drive to gather food, supplies, and monetary donations for its local humane society.
P.S. I Love You Day Fundraiser and Activities: Meadowbrook K-Kids in East Meadow, New York, U.S., organized a fundraiser and activities that encouraged others to spread love, decrease bullying and promote mental health awareness.
