Create a scrapbook entry for the 2025-26 Scrapbook Contest Award! The deadline is April 1, 2026. Follow these tips to make it easy and fun to share what your club has learned and accomplished this year:
- Review the contest rules and scrapbook criteria in the Scrapbook Contest Scoring Form (on page 13 of the K-Kids Award and Contest Guide) with members so they’re aware of club-life activities and service to document throughout the year and the content expected in the book.
- Create a Scrapbook Committee. Assign a reporter and photographer or ask members to take turns serving in these roles throughout the year to document the club’s activities.
- Decide whether your club wants to submit a digital or nondigital scrapbook. A digital scrapbook is created using online software such as canva.com. A nondigital scrapbook is created using a traditional binder, paper art, photos and printed articles.
- Create a digital folder where scanned documents (social media posts, newspaper articles, flyers) and digital images can be saved. Agree on a document-naming strategy so that information is easy to find.
- Make an action plan that breaks down creating the scrapbook into smaller tasks.
- Design and create the scrapbook. Review the scrapbook criteria throughout the process to make sure the club is on track to create a competitive entry.
- Distribute photo releases to members for signature by parent(s)/guardian(s). Anyone pictured in the scrapbook should have a signed release form.
- Submit your scrapbook through the online K-Kids Scrapbook Contest Entry Form by the April 1 deadline.
